Why I stopped blogging/ I’m back!!

As you noticed the last 8-9 months I wasn’t really active on my blog, here is the reason why! As you guessed in July of 2016 we found out I’m expecting a little baby boy! It was the most amazing feeling I could ever imagine to be able to carry my baby. Pregnancy wasn’t a fairytale for me, especially the first 4 months. I was really sick, I had nausea and morning sickness every single day, I had no appetite, I hated everything healthy, like salads, greens, juices, all I could eat was bread and butter. We could not go in restaurants or places where smelled like food, cause I felt like throwing up. After the 4th month I started to be a little bit better. After 4 months of no exercise or gym, I started to be a little more active, going to the gym 2-3 times a week. I started to eat again a little bit healthier and feeling myself again.

Throughout my pregnancy I gained a total of 12 kg (26 lbs). Everybody kept telling me I don’t have a big belly, but at the end of my journey I felt really huge!

Around week 35 I totally stopped exercising, I wanted to play safe and to be careful so baby doesn’t come to early.

Long story short, I had my little boy on march 24th, giving birth wasn’t a piece of cake either. After one day of labor I ended up in the surgery room, and had my baby with a c-section.

As we know a c-section is a major surgery, a scar I’m so proud of and feel so blessed that I can be the mommy of this gorgeous little soul, I can’t even find words to express myself.

Because it is a major surgery, my body needs to heal, so for at least 3 months I should avoid any physical effort and exercise 😦

Now that I have everything I need in life, I promise I will start blogging again and I’m working on a body transformation program, so stay tuned and fallow my own transformation.

Where to eat healthy when on vacation in Barcelona

wpid-img_20150630_152601.jpgHello everybody! I did not post an article since a long time, I was away for a little while, but now I am back for good 🙂

As you can tell from the title of this article, I was for a little while in Barcelona (Spain). I have to tell you this city doesn’t just have gorgeous beaches, wonderful views and buildings, but the food there is absolutely amazing. In this article I will tell you about the best places to eat healthy and delicious food. Believe me we tried them all!

If you are planning a trip to Barcelona, you should be aware that time passes so fast, because of all the things you can do and visit, or just chill at a beach bar drinking some freshly made pina colada from fresh coconut milk and pineapple.

So let’s see which restaurants you should definitely try out if you are around.

montjuic1. The first place you need to visit is El Xalet de Montjuïc.This place is pure luxury because of its ambiance and fantastic views. The restaurant has a large panoramic terrace and a beautiful dining room from where the view is just spectacular. The dishes are mostly Mediterranean and Catalan, respecting the traditional flavours and fresh produce. I ate here a delicious appetizer: Hummus with crunchy vegetables, sesame seeds and crunchy king-prawns skewer. 2. The second restaurant I recommend is Veg world India, a small Indian vegetarian restaurant. It’s not as luxurious as the first one, but the food is just amazing. If you are interested in eating healthy, tasty and spicy in a nice Indian ambiance, than you are in the perfect place. You must try the mango lassi drink, made of chilled full fat fresh curd/yoghurt, fresh chopped mango and a dash of ground cardamom. You also need to try the garlic or cheese nan and obviously some of their special indian dishes served with a delicious saffron rice. wpid-img_20150607_170942.jpg3. The third place I recommend for you to visit is the WET pool and terrace. It’s a gorgeous and luxury place inside of the W hotel on the beach. This place is perfect to talk, sunbath and to eat and drink something delicious. We tried out some super tasty smoothies like the strawberry & banana, the mango & passion fruit but also some cocktails like the pineapple & ginger mojito. The food here really amazed us, we liked it so much, that the next day we went back and ordered the same things. I highly recommend the hot quinoa balls with a special spicy eggplant cream. We also ate some focaccia bread with 3 different kind of dips: guacamole, sour cream & cheddar cheese. wpid-img_20150630_154002.jpg4. The next restaurant you really need to try is the Wave. It’s also a luxurious place, with a great atmosphere and wonderful food. I really enjoyed this place, we tried out lots of great dishes and had a great night. From the starters menu I highly recommend the hummus and falafel with assorted vegetables, yoghurt, cucumber and lemon sauce. Served with pita bread. We also tried the strawberry gazpacho and the spinach ravioli with smoked vegetables sauce, pecorino cheese and tomato oil. And of course as I am on a vacation I like to try out new things, so I tried the delicious apple and cinnamon tatin, served with crumbled almonds and fresh cheese ice cream. Another great place to eat if you really want something healthy and fast, Teresa Carles’s place is the best choice. They have so amazing fresh cold pressed juices, great appetizers, soups, main dishes and raw desserts. Yes it is like paradise. Everything is freshly made, you can choose between raw, raw vegan, vegan, gluten free or vegetarian. The waiters are super-fast, they take the orders fast and bring the food in no time. We actually came back to this place twice. We tried out a lots of food, so I leave you the online menu to decide for yourself. Bună dragilor!

Astăzi am pentru voi un articol puţin mai diferit decât cu ceea ce v-am obişnuit până acum. Acest articol nu o să aibă ca temă fitness-ul, reţete sănătoase sau tipsuri despre cum să avem o viaţă mai echilibrată şi sănătoasă.  Astăzi veţi avea ocazia să mă cunoaşteţi puțin mai bine 🙂

Acesta este primul meu articol pentru cei de la Orkesta în colaborare cu WarchShop.ro, care au o simplă întrebare şi anume „Ce ai face dacă ziua ar avea 48 de ore”…. interesant, nu?

Nu am stat prea mult pe gânduri, deoarece eu chiar am o problema a „time managementului”, nu pot să îmi împart timpul în aşa fel încât să pot să fac tot ceea ce îmi propun.

Haideţi să vă spun ce aş face eu cu acele extra 24 de ore într-o zi.

  1. În primul rând aş putea să lucrez mai mult. Mulți stiţi deja că sunt antrenor personal, ador profesia mea, iar prin munca mea aş putea ajuta mai multe persoane dacă aș avea mai mult timp, deci, toată lumea ar avea de câştigat 🙂
  2. Aş avea timp să citesc mai mult. Cititul e tot timpul pe ultimul loc în zilele noastre, cel puţin la mine, deoarece tot timpul este altceva de făcut, ceea ce pe moment e mai important. Asta include să fac un plan de antrenament pentru un client, să merg la o întâlnire de afaceri, să mă plimb cu căţelul, să gătesc şi aşa mai departe. Așadar, niște timp pentru citit ar prinde foarte bine. Citit o carte, evident, nu articole pe internet sau Cosmopolitan 🙂
  3. Aş petrece mai mult timp cu persoanele dragi mie. Niciodată nu am suficient de mult timp de stat la poveşti,  de schimb de idei, împărtășit de experiențe.
  4. Aş dori să am mai mult timp pentru gătit, să încerc reţete noi și delicioase la care deseori mă gândesc, dar nu am niciodată timp să le fac. Ador să gătesc, aş putea să stau în bucătărie câteva ore bune în fiecare zi. 🙂
  5. Mi-aş dori să petrec mai mult timp cu căţelul meu,Jimmy, care are 14 anişori şi nu ştiu cât îl voi mai avea aprope. Mai mult timp ar însemna să mă ocup doar de el, sa-l piaptăn, să ne jucăm, să ne plimbăm, să-l duc la vânătoare de iepuri 🙂
  6. Aș dedica acele ore în plus pentru relaxare, aş încerca o oră de meditaţie, ora în care să nu mă gândesc că trebuie să mă grăbesc la dentist, la ora de aerobic, la masă, la întâlnire…etc. Să-mi eliberez mintea complet și să elimin orice stres cotidian.
  7. Dacă fiecare zi ar avea 48 de ore, cu siguranţă aş scrie articole zilnic, pentru că am foarte multe idei pe care vreau să le  împărtăşesc cu voi, dar timpul… e mereu o problemă. De fapt, lipsa lui!

Aş mai putea enumera multe multe lucruri pe care le-aș face dacă ni s-ar dubla timpul: aş face mai multe videoclipuri cu exerciţii, aş încerca un sport nou, aş viziona toate filmele noi care apar la cinema (evident, cele interesante) aş zbura pâna în Roma şi m-aş întoarce in aceeaşi zi 🙂 sau aş sta la plajă câteva ore bune… dacă ar fi o plajă la Cluj 🙂

1382374625Concluzia este faptul că fiecare persoană își face timp pentru ceea ce e cu adevărat important în viaţa sa. E vorba de a-ți stabili niște priorităţi.  E foarte uşor să ne găsim scuze  ca:  nu am timp să merg la sală, nu te-am sunat pentru că nu am avut timp, nu mă îngrijesc pentru că nu am bani, etc.  Dacă îți dorești cu adevărat să faci ceva, cu siguranță poți găsi timp pentru acel ceva. Timpul nostru este proiectul nostru, ne aparţine. Trebuie să preţuim acele 24 de ore pe care le avem în aşa fel încât, atunci când  mergem la culcare să ne simţim mulţumite si împăcate cu noi că am făcut tot ce am putut în acea zi! Și pentru că timpul se măsoară în ore şi minute, un ceas care să ne reflecte personalitatea este absolut necesar.  În acest sens, eu aş alege acest superb ceas Fossil. Hello my dears!

Today I’m going to post a different kind of article, something different with what you are used to read on my blog. This article will not include fitness, healthy recipes or healthy lifestyle tips! Today you have the opportunity to know me just a little bit better 🙂

In collaboration with watchshop.ro , who asked me to write down, what would I do if the  day had 48 hours instead of 24, interesting question right?

I did not have to think too much on this subject, because I’m having a really hard time with managing my time. I never have time to do all the things I propose to do in that day.

So let’s see my list, what would I do with those extra 24 hours a day 

  1. First of all I would like to work more. As most of you know, I’m a personal trainer, I love my job, so working more I could help more people to get in shape and have a healthy lifestyle. This would be the best for everybody right? 🙂
  2. I would like to read more. Nowadays people put reading on the last place, other things are always more important. In that moment I feel it’s more important to make a diet plan or an exercise plan for a client, to cook, to go out with the dog etc.  So some extra hours for a relaxing reading would be very welcome.
  3. I would like to spend more time with my loved ones. I feel like I never spend enough time with them, a little more storytelling, just talk about our daily experiences and thoughts would be so good.
  4. I would like to have more time to cook. To try out new healthy and delicious recipes what I have in mind, but I never find the time to actually make them. I really adore cooking, so some more hours in the kitchen would be very nice!
  5. I would like to spend more time with my dog, which is now 14 years old, and I can’t know how much time he will be around. I would like to dedicate much more time just to him, to brush him, to actually play with him, to take him for a long walk or rabbit hunting 🙂
  6. Those extra hours in plus I could use for a good relaxation. I would like to try a real and intense mediation, to clear my mind, and for that one hour not to think about my appointment to the dentist, my clients, my work, meetings… To free my mind completely and release the stress.
  7. If every day would have 48 hours, for sure I would write an article every day, because I have so many ideas to share with you, but time is always a problem….I mean having the time 🙂

I could tell you more about what I would do if we had that extra 24 hours…but I would be dreaming too much I think. I would do much more fitness videos, I would try out a new sport, I would watch all the new good movies from the cinema, I would fly to Rome and back in the same day, I would go sunbathing on the beach…..If Cluj (my home town) would have a beach  🙂

270612The conclusion is that every person makes time for what is really important for them. It’s about priorities! It is very easy to find excuses like: I can’t find the time to go to the gym, I don’t have time to call you, because I’m busy, I can’t go to the hairstylist because I don’t have the money and the list could go on and on. If you really want something you will find the time for it. Our time is our project. We have to cherish those 24 hours we have, and in the night when we go in our bed to feel accomplished and proud that we gave our best to do everything we proposed.
